Sometimes I don’t even know how to carry the weight of these stories anymore.
A friend told me something yesterday that left me shaken. Six men. One girl.
They didn’t just harm her body they destroyed a part of her spirit.
And I keep asking myself Where are we going as a country?

How did we get here?
When did violence become normal?
When did we start treating girls like they are less than human?

We cry for peace, yet what peace is this when our daughters, sisters, and mothers can’t walk in safety? This isn’t just a story. This is a scream. A cry for help. A wound that repeats itself every day across our communities in silence, in fear, in shame.

We talk about culture, but what kind of culture teaches young men to strip away a girl’s dignity?
Why are we copying the worst parts of the Western world the violence, the objectification and leaving behind the values of respect, family, and community?

We cry about foreign influence but only when it’s convenient.
Yet we’re adopting the worst of Western culture the hypersexualization, the r**e culture, the disrespect of women while forgetting the strength and dignity of our roots.

Our elders taught us respect.
Our grandmothers taught us to protect each other.
Our land taught us community.

So why are we now teaching our boys to be predators?
Why are we raising girls in fear instead of freedom?

This is why the Noon Foundation exists.
To stand for the girls who are being silenced.
To fight for dignity, safety, and education.
To remind the world and South Sudan that our girls matter.

This is not just about menstrual pads. It’s not just about early marriage. It’s about protection.
It’s about justice.
It’s about never staying silent again.

To every girl who has suffered we see you. We believe you. And we will keep fighting for you.

She walks barefoot through dusty paths,
with dreams louder than the silence around her.
They told her she was too young to choose,
too poor to matter,
too female to lead
but still, she rises.

Her body is changing, but no one tells her why.
She bleeds in shame, hides in fear,
and misses school because the world forgot
that dignity is a right, not a luxury.

But we see her.
We hear her.
We stand with her.
