Men of God can destroy state more than players, artists, self-proclaimed prophet says

Major Shepherd Abraham, a self-proclaimed prophet, made a provocative statement stating that the influence of religious leaders, which, when Undermined, can be more destructive to the state compared to athletes and artists.

His remarks came following Larson Angok's call for Aweil artists' recognition in community affairs during a one-day consultative meeting held in Juba.

In his comments, Prophet Shepherd expressed frustration over the lack of consultation with pastors regarding community programs in Aweil, claiming this may trigger violence.

“Not only sportsmen and artists can destroy the state, but also men of God can do that far worse than anything. Continue running Aweil programs without consulting us (pastors). This issue of not recognizing Aweil pastors in Juba will one day cause a wahala,” he commented.

Defending his statement, he elaborated, “I made that comment because many occasions are being held, and no one reaches out to us. What does it mean if our home can not recognize where we are supposed to be recognized?”
