Sometimes the people who are really meant to be will face the hardest battles. Not because they are wrong for each other, but because the world throws everything it's got at them. Love like that doesn't come easily. It's made stronger by hard times, distance, misunderstandings, learning, and growing. the age of 20,21 & above ain't easy, you lose friends , you make mistakes , you fall , you fail , you realise things , you hit reality , you lose yourself , you go through different phases of Insecurity loneliness and frustration , you go through a heart break , you lose trust to most of the people , you know you cry now and then ,you do things you never thought you do but in the end you find yourself and become stronger and those are still the best years of your life too. this is life.🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

I came across a quote that said:
"My life got better when I realized I didn't have to be kind. Kind got me used, stressed out and disrespected. I'm not kind. I'm a good person. There's a difference.

And I think a healthier way to frame this is:

My life got better when I learned to balance kindness with self-respect. Being considerate is important, but so are healthy boundaries. I strive to be good—treating others well while also honouring my own needs and values.

Date someone who likes you and proves it with effort. Not just late-night texts or quick compliments, but real consistency. Someone who shows up, remembers the little things, makes time even when they're busy. Effort is love's loudest language. If they're not putting in the work to know you, to keep you, to make you feel secure, then they don't like you enough. Stop chasing words and start paying attention to actions. The right person won't make you wonder; they'll make you feel chosen through the effort they give every day.

Maturity is realizing that some people will never admit their mistakes. They keep circles that excuse their behavior and make it seem normal. Waiting for accountability from them is wasted energy, because people who avoid their own reflection will never give you the truth.
