Mr Julius Malema, one of Africa's most prominent political leaders and Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has responded to Bobi Wine’s call for Captain Ibrahim Traoré to restore democracy in Burkina Faso by organizing elections for the next president. Africans across the continent have been emphasizing that Western powers have often used democracy as a tool to advance their neocolonial and imperialistic agendas, citing countries like Cameroon and Nigeria, where democratically elected leaders remain under the influence of the West. In a televised address, Malema declared:
