Military sexual trauma or "MST" is sexual assault or sexual harassment that occurred during military service. MST includes:
• Being pressured into sexual activities, such as with threats
• Sexual activity without your full and complete consent. This includes when asleep or intoxicated, or when overpowered, pressured or physically forced
• Being sexually touched or grabbed in an uncomfortable way, including during "hazing" experiences
• Comments about your body or sexual activities you found threatening
• Unwelcome sexual advances you found threatening
• Any other sexual activity against your will or when you were unable to say
"no"
People of all ages, races, genders and sexual orientations have experienced MST.
MST can occur at any time or place during your military service - on or off duty, or on or off base.
