Already Day 2 of our Bangkok-Vientiane-Chiang Mai residency! We’re excited to be developing our new project - Lanna-Lanxang - a fusion of traditional and contemporary dance and music from Northern Thailand and Laos, and the West. A huge thank you to all of the professors and musicians who generously shared their expertise on music from the Lanna and Lanxang regions with us these past few days. We’re so looking forward to more collaborative work as this project develops! 🙏🏼

We had a really great time discussing the history and concept behind Matchanu with two classes of graduate students from China today. Thank you to Ajarn A and Suan Soonantha Rachaphat University for inviting us back!
