Read Thai with me 😊

📌 Instructions to use this series for your best benefits👇

To speak Thai clearly that Thais understand, you must learn 4 components of Thai sounds and consonants are No.1 you must remember it all because it will matter in all the Thai tone rules.

Some schools and teachers told you not to care about the obsolete or less-used ones. But for me, I taught you the same approach that Thai kids learn Thai and normally foreigners' Thai language foundation is equal to our primary grade.

And it will be the best if you can remember it all for the right start. With time, when you practice reading more, you will know naturally which ones are used a lot, which ones are not. Don't need to skip from the beginning because actually you will still see all of them in our media.

What you need to do is to remember and pronounce both its sound and name correctly.

You need to remember its name because some consonants have the same sounds (like ส ษ ศ) but when you spell it, you need to tell people which one you are using.

In the VDO, I give you about 3 seconds to recall and then I will say it out.

I say 2 sounds;
The first one is its sound.
The second one is its name. (Name = meaning).

When you can remember what it is, just try to relate the Thai sound and the picture only, not to think of English, try to be immersive as much as you can.

🇹🇭 ก-ฮ Test Series will help you to remember 44 Thai consonants' form and their sounds directly, bypassing English which will help improve your spoken skills effectively.

My students are also my teachers.

Teaching Thai let me get connected with many interesting people whom I can learn from in many areas; their Thai learning journey and insights, their life experiences, thoughts and cultural insights, etc.

Khun Andy learns Thai Phonics with me and I learn about "big biker" life experiences and insights from him.

His bike is very cool and lively with beautiful shape and colors. I also like his name in Thai on the left side of his jacket and the words on his helmet "ใช้ชีวิต Live Life" that he got it after a big accident 3 years ago.

🙏 I am always grateful to meet all of my students who are very self-motivated and trust in me in guiding them.

🌈✨ Our cheerful Saturday Thai Phonics class finished book 3 page 33 (out of 48) already.

As they have learned more than 50% of Thai tone rules through practice reading book 1,2 and more than 50% of 3, they get the right Thai sounds more than 90% and can correct mistakes by themselves.

They read basic Thai sentences and a short story which are quite funny, we laugh and learn at the same time. This part is the integration of all they have learned so far and they did it very well!

I also learned American pronunciation for some English words too.

Our big brother Gary Peña came with cultural insights from foreigners' point of view for us in some topics too.

This is the second component of the Thai Phonics system by Beam : vowels.

Phonics is the relation between what you see and what you hear. This method is highly successful in teaching children around the world to be able to read and speak English easily and it works with me when I practiced spoken English too!

So, it will also work for Thai learners who want to make a general conversation with locals and be able to understand Thai content and media too. It helps your brain and subconscious mind to relate the forms and sounds directly bypassing English transcripts that many of them can't match with many Thai sounds.

Sound is a building block of all spoken languages.

When you learn to say Thai sounds correctly, your listening and speaking skills with comprehension will surely happen like it happens in my students. 😊

Start it right, you will save money, energy and time with faster results.

💁‍♀️ Here is why I really emphasize on drilling Thai sounds and tones!

He is one of my inspiring academic leaders in Thailand who focuses on teaching . He speaks Thai very clearly and professionally.

I was very impressed by his insights about how low the level of Thais who can speak English at a conversational or daily-life level affects the quality of life, income, opportunity and the overall growth compared to Malaysia and Singapore.

For me, I don't want Thais to compete with any countries but I want them to be able to open their world as wide as they can.

I am in Chiang Rai, a place where most people are not fluent in English, but because I have 4 English skills, I can be at home or somewhere peacefully while wandering around the world online.

I really want to go abroad to experience the real world but due to many factors, I am waiting for the right time while enjoying exploring the world with my English skills both online and in-person.

Speaking at a conversational level helps me learn from real people which I like a lot. It's totally different from reading a book or an article or watching YouTube.

Getting connected with real humans is a very lively experience that no experience can beat. We exchange ideas, emotions, knowledge, experiences, etc through natural conversation.

My speaking level will be up if I stay and keep speaking with my foreign friends more than 24 hours but it can drop when I only want to listen to them, lol.

So, that's why I really want you as foreigners who choose Thailand or Chiang Rai as your home can speak Thai at the level. At this level, you don't have to be perfect at grammar.

The most important thing is the right pronunciation that Thai can easily understand. Yes, they can guess by context if you make it wrong but sometimes it's really too hard to guess and it will not flow and fun anymore.

With the right Thai sounds memories in your subconscious mind, you will be able to understand what Thais say a lot more and can speak what Thais really understand.

So, as for me, from my own experiences in practicing spoken English, it's the same for Thai, right sounds and pronunciation is the only bridge for you and Thais.

In summary, I just want you to focus on drilling on the right Thai sounds and my Thai Phonics drilling system and lessons can really help you on this whether you have a zero foundation or you want the last jigsaw to be really communicate in Thai confidently.

This is the BIG missing piece that more than 80% of Thai learners who want to communicate in Thai naturally don't know.

Watch and listen to this VDO repeatedly, you get the most important building block of speaking Thai right that Thais truly understand already.

It's my first Thai Phonics lesson that every student of mine must drill and remember because this will lead to all the main and necessary tone rules and Thai pronunciation later 💯.

Who skips this step = fail more than 80% in the end for speaking & listening no matter how much he/she learns...except that you have very good ears, are good at talking and mimicking Thai people and have very good mirror neurons in your brain. That's the exception but very rare to find.

Getting it right at the beginning is a key to success or you can reset your learning journey with this, and apply with what you have learned later, it will truly give you confidence in a short time because all spoken language has sounds as building blocks.

You can do this with any Thais who can read Thai clearly and correctly with a Standard Thai accent. You need to find a high quality role model to copy.
