FIBAA representative Yuliia Bleshmudt delivered “Quality Assurance for Micro-Credentials: Standards, Transferability, and Labour Market Relevance,” focusing on ensuring credibility and recognition.

Micro-Credentials Association representative Ejder Yelken shared “Enhancing Employability and Mobility Through Micro-Credentials,” highlighting their impact on workforce readiness.

Chaired by EURAS representative Olgun Çiçek, the panel emphasized the transformative potential of micro-credentials in the evolving higher education ecosystem.

Focusing on global priorities, the panel “Education for UN’s Sustainable Development Goals” on the third day of EURIE 2026 highlighted the role of higher education in advancing the SDGs through learning and capacity building.

United Nations Institute for Training and Research representative Jon-Hans Coetzer shared insights on how education initiatives can support sustainable development and empower learners worldwide.

The session emphasized the importance of aligning academic programs with global goals to create lasting impact.

Encouraging in-depth dialogue on global harmony, the Roundtable: UNESCO Chairs – “Imperative of Intercultural Understanding on Peace Building in the Societies” at EURIE 2026 focused on the critical role of intercultural understanding in building sustainable peace.

Stellenbosch University representative Darla K. Deardorff contributed with insights on intercultural competence as a foundation for peaceful societies.

Chaired by İstanbul Aydın University representative Osman Gültekin, the session fostered meaningful exchange on the role of education in strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding across cultures.

Highlighting key funding frameworks for international collaboration, the panel “Erasmus+: A Funding Mechanism for Mobilities and Cooperation” on the third day of EURIE 2026 focused on opportunities created through Erasmus+ programs.

Organized by the Turkish National Agency, the session brought together experts to discuss both centralized actions and strategic cooperation models.

Turkish National Agency representatives Ranâ Kasapoğlu Önder and Ahmet Çörekçioğlu presented “Erasmus+ Centralized Actions for Higher Education Institutions” and “European Universities Initiative as Strategic Cooperation Example in Türkiye,” respectively.

Istanbul Technical University representative Emrah Acar shared “European University Alliances in Action: The EELISA Experience at ITU,” providing a practical perspective on alliance-based collaboration.

The panel emphasized Erasmus+ as a powerful enabler of mobility, partnership, and institutional development across Europe and beyond.
