🏏 Match Commentary – Southern Sports Premier League SSPL (Game 10 & 11)

Waterloo Sports Club concluded the first round of the SSPL 2026 with two away fixtures, showing determination and fight as we secured qualification for the second round.

Our first match was against JPR Tours, where Waterloo SC faced a tough challenge. After conceding 238/9 in 30 overs, with wickets shared by Ajay Lutchman and Christopher Morgan, we were unable to build momentum in the chase. Despite efforts from Christopher Morgan (26) and Dillon Kissoon (20), Waterloo SC were bowled out for 114 in 21.4 overs, with JPR Tours winning by 124 runs.

The team bounced back strongly in the second match against Golconda United. Batting first, Waterloo SC put up an impressive 241/7 in 29 overs, led by Dinesh Samula (54), Rick Cassie (51), and Christopher Morgan (46). The bowlers then delivered an outstanding performance, restricting Golconda United to 111 all out in 22.2 overs. Ajay Lutchman led the attack brilliantly with 4 for 18, supported by Christopher Morgan and Indar Bandoo. Waterloo secured a commanding 130-run victory, with Ajay Lutchman named Man of the Match.

With one win and one loss in these away fixtures, Waterloo Sports Club did enough to book a place in the second round of the competition.

Onward to the next stage—focused and ready for the challenge ahead! 💪🏽🏏
