SALES ASSOCIATE JOB VACANCIES (6 FOR KILIMANJARO AIRPORT & 6 FOR JULIUS NYERERE AIRPORT)
We are excited to announce 12 sales associate positions to be filled as soon where 6 Sales Associate will be stationed at Kilimanjaro International Airport and other 6 will be stationed at Julius Nyerere International Airport.

Job Description
Our Client, a French based Group, is a worldwide leader on the Travel Retail industry, operating in 52 countries around the world in all 3 natures of retail services that an airport might need: Duty-Free Retail, Travel Essentials Retail and Food Services.

The Tanzanian subsidiary has been incorporated in 2021 to start our Duty-Free operations at Julius Nyerere International Airport, in Dar Es Salaam. We expanded our operations at Kilimanjaro International Airport in July 2022.

We are looking to fill in the position of Store Sales Associates who will be responding to the Stores Assistant Managers of our operations at Julius Nyerere International Airport, Terminal 3.

SALARY: TZS 700,000/= Gross Salary

Scope of works

Within the framework of the defined internal procedures and the commercial objectives set, the sales Associate welcomes and guides customers. He seeks to know customers' needs, advises them and sells products through exemplary customer service in order to develop turnover. He ensures the collection of sales. He participates in the running of the store and the inventories.

The sales Associate will be specifically in charge of:

Invites customers to come in the shop, welcomes and guides them according to their needs
Advises the customer with in-depth knowledge of the products,
Sells the products to the customer and develop additional sales,
Carries out the collection of the items according to the defined procedure,
Counts his/her cash, fills out the internal cash register slips and deposits the receipts in the safe according to the defined procedure,
Participates in the arrangement of products in the shelves (in accordance with the rules of merchandising) and maintains the cleanliness of products in the store,
Participates in the implementation of animations and change of promotions,
Verifies the labelling of the products,
Participates in inventories
Report any suspicious incidents observed from customers, colleagues, airport staff
Controls the physical deliveries, the correct placement of products on the shelves, performs the necessary reporting to the assistant manager.

Profile Required:

Ability to use initiative
Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Good understanding of sales and customer service
Previous retail experience
Fluency in Swahili and English
Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
Previous Cash Handling experience

Experience Required:

At least 1-2 year in a retail outlet experience
Experience in customers sales

The selected candidate will receive training on the systems he/she will use (tills) and the processes he will have to work on, especially Duty-Free selling technics. The training will happen from experienced staff members.

Place and hours of works

Workplace: Kilimanjaro International Airport and Julius Nyerere International Airport
The airport is a strictly controlled security environment, and you are obliged to meet all policies and procedures required. A security check is mandatory for all staff and a breach of security could result in your employment being terminated.
Physical Demands : The demands of the role include the ability to stand up for long periods, involves manual handling, a degree of twisting, and turning, ability to work in cool temperature and the capacity to deal with the pressures of a fast paced service environment is required.
Hours of works: Our stores will be open 24/7, the sales Associates will have to work on night shifts, week-end shifts and holiday shifts on a regular basis. Planning will be organized so that all store team members (Assistant managers and sales Associates) rotate on night and week-end shifts.
Work outfit: all in store staff members will have to wear uniform.
Products to sell: Our range of products to sales includes alcohol and to***co. The applicant must be comfortable with touching those products.
