Hey guys, did you know I’ve been on stage for 21 years already? 😅
Today I realized I first stepped behind the decks back in 2005.
It honestly made me laugh a little when some people say DJs nowadays only play using the sync button — and sometimes they throw that at me too. Why is it funny? Because a lot of you can’t even imagine the kind of gear I’ve had to play on over these twenty years 😅😂 I can handle such old-school relics it’s scary.
There were times when other DJs would purposely unplug the equipment before my set or switch the cables around, hoping I wouldn’t know what to do. And every single time, their jaws dropped when I calmly fixed everything myself - no technician, no drama - and just started my set.
There have been some crazy and weird situations over the years. I could tell so many stories.
By the way, I still don’t use the sync button - I’m just not used to it. But I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it. Progress doesn’t stand still, so why not use all the tools it gives us? 😉🫶🏻
