Collective Glow
Collective Glow is a Ugandan non-profit working to empower ans improve lives and communities through education, creativity, and skills development.
We held a reusable menstrual hygiene workshop in Kimwanyi slum with young girls, teen moms, and single parents, creating a safe space for learning, sharing, and empowerment.
After learning how to make reusable pads from scratch, the participants were able to turn them into professionally finished, well-made pads ready for use. Beyond the skills gained, it was about restoring dignity, building confidence, and providing sustainable solutions.
We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters .hq, .festival, , and without their support, this workshop wouldn’t have been possible. We love and appreciate you all 🫶🏾
We are grateful for these community collaborations because they are filled with practical skills, shared knowledge, and lasting impact.

Our end-of-year community Outreach in the Bukasa Zone, Bwaise shared last Saturday was beautifully spent
It was a day full of good energy, meaningful conversations, laughter, and connection. We spent time talking about health, hygiene, and some of the everyday challenges faced within the community, and in between those conversations, we also made space to move, groove, and enjoy being together.
The dance session was filled with joy, curiosity, and good vibes. Trying new dance moves, laughing at ourselves, and letting the body move was so fulfilling.
We were able to give out food packs, clothing, hygiene kits, Pampers for new mothers, and other essential support.
We’re deeply grateful for this collaboration with Amkeni Empower Her .hq and Ghetto Pamoja Initiative, and for everyone who showed up, supported, donated, volunteered, and believed in this work. Thank you to our partners, friends, and families who helped make this outreach possible.
It was a reminder that community, care, and connection truly matter. So grateful for how the day turned out 💛
Yesterday was well spent in Katanga Slum, giving back to the community as part of our community outreach.
Together with the Ghetto Pamoja initiative, we spent the day in Katanga distributing clothes, shoes, beddings, and a sound system to the community. It’s always a joy seeing smiles, stories, and that sense of connection that keeps us going.
Big love to everyone who keeps supporting what we do,those who donate, share our work, or simply cheer us on from wherever they are. You’re part of this too. A huge thank you to you.
Thank you Collective Glow Team x Ghetto Pamoja and to the Katanga community for welcoming us so warmly. ❤️
We’re always collecting clothes, shoes, and beddings, especially for single moms, new moms, and babies. If you’d like to contribute, volunteer, or donate, we’d love to have you join the glow. We welcome every donation.

Last Saturday in Katanga, we hosted a community outreach focused on cooking skills and mental health.
The cooking class that was led by Nakibugwe Josephine gathered over 85 young women, girls, and men for a cooking class, many of them small business owners and stay-at-home mothers, where they learned new techniques and ended the day by sharing a meal together.
We were honored to have Lydia Kinobe, a dedicated health worker from Mengo Hospital with 17+ years of experience in child and adolescent psychosocial support, lead a mental health session. She created a safe space for single parents and young teen mothers to share, reflect, and learn about emotional regulation, decision-making, and healthy communication.
This workshop was organized by Collective Glow in collaboration with Katanga Ghetto Development Link, a nonprofit committed to driving positive change in slum communities through capacity building and economic opportunities. We are grateful for this new partnership and the chance to grow impact together.
