Solar lamps’ promotions in Kampala 09/07/2013

Through the Solar Lamps for Health and Wealth campaign, the solar PV department begun a five weeks promotion of solar lamps aimed at creating awareness about the importance of using solar lamps among households over primitive unsafe lighting ways like using tadoobas and kerosene lamps. The campaign kicked off from Kitintale market and Turskys, Makerere branch on 19th July and will go on until 28th July. CREEC has also invited distributors of solar PV products to join them in this campaign drive.
The campaign involves interactive market demonstrations by sales executives, and this provides people with an avenue to learn about different solar products on the market. In addition, CREEC is making recommendations about the best solar PV products on the market and offering advice to those interested in buying these products. Some of the companies that have joined this drive include Small Solutions, d.Light and Barefoot Power Ltd, and are offering products on discounts.
