The blackworm food trial is over but has not been counted yet. There are lots of worms still left in the sponges. This may take several days to get out the worms.

But good new… The substrate test is in progress! Here’s a sneak peek at some of the systems plus all of the details and in-depth information will be released tomorrow.

The first obvious change since the last experiment is, the worms are settled and not roaming or flailing at all. They were able to settle pretty quickly. Giving the worms something that is strong enough for them to anchor in seems  necessary. 

I’m excited to see what new information this experiment gives us! Plus some new development in the method that could very well help control nitrogen and water changes is not the answer… stay tuned for that one!
