Lots of fun seeing ReformCon 2022 come to life just a few weeks ago!

Codex Studios worked with and to help design the event experience. The tagline of the conference—By This Standard—was a rallying cry for Christians to exhibit excellence in every area of life and culture by living according to the standard of God’s Word. The conference was held over Reformation Weekend, Oct. 27–29.

From the beginning, the team discussed how the word “standard” can have at least two meanings:
—a mark of excellence signifying quality
—a flag or banner

From there, the image of planting a flag became a unifying icon across all brand touchpoints. At the end of the conference, attendees were asked to think about the specific way that they intended to display Christian excellence in their homes, school, and work. Each attendee was given a miniature flag, and the entire group of several hundred people went to a park adjacent to the conference center and planted their flags. The 6’x10’ flag was signed by attendees from far and wide. The conference ended with everyone singing the Doxology.

Attendees took their flags home as a memento of the conference and reminder of their experience. This symbolic gesture made both the branding and the content of the conference tangible, and provided beautiful closure to an amazing weekend.
