TONIGHT! We’ll be showcasing Palestinian artists for our monthly installment of Radiant Point on WGXC 90.7 FM & wavefarm.org.

For 30 days, we’ve watched a Israel commit a genocide against people in Gaza, while huge and wide-ranging protests so far fall on deaf ears of the evil people running governments in the US and EU.

Both within Palestine and in the diaspora, there is a multitude of incredible and varied music. This our small way of recognizing their humanity and supporting their struggle for freedom.

About 2 years ago in the RadioNOPE days, we did a show highlighting Palestinian artists and the wide range of music that comes from people both in the region and in the diaspora. Some of it is sad, some joyful and hopeful. Some make little mention of the struggle, some are deeply entrenched in it. Like all people, Palestinians are not a monolith.

We felt that often in the US, Palestinians are not seen as actual human beings, human beings under constant assault and threat from a highly militarized state backed by other highly militarized states. They’re daily dehumanized by Western media and a state that occupies their lands.

The show is available on Mixcloud (link in bio) and we will again be focusing on Palestinian artists for our WGXC show next month.

Our shortcoming is that we don’t do this more often, only when there is some crisis or catastrophe. But, these events are not what solely define a people. We hope this music demonstrates that.

We were supremely stoked to see and meet long-time Radiant Point favorites at 5-year anniversary bash. They did not disappoint!
