This month, our Behind the Brand spotlights Matt Newman, Market President for our San Antonio and Boerne markets!

With 22 years of banking experience, Matt joined Liberty Capital Bank three years ago as part of the Texas Heritage Bank team. Since then, he has helped strengthen our presence in San Antonio and Boerne while embracing a culture built on exceptional people, open communication, and a shared commitment to our communities.

When he's not at the bank, Matt enjoys traveling with his wife and children, cheering them on at competitive tennis tournaments, and spending quality family time on the water at Canyon Lake and Inks Lake.

Fun Fact: Matt learned to slalom ski at just 4 years old and later competed on the Texas Tech Water Ski Team before turning his focus toward academics and a successful banking career.

Matt's commitment to service extends beyond banking. He has dedicated 15 years to the RMA board and has previously served in leadership roles with the San Antonio Children's Chorus and St. Thomas Episcopal School.
