The Music Medics are ready to bring their live, interactive a ca****la talents to our Open Air Outdoor Performing Arts Series tomorrow. Created by the Barbershop Harmony Society, this group of specially trained volunteers delivers heartfelt harmonies designed to uplift and comfort those in healthcare settings.

Join us tomorrow, September 5, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Jane Fawcett Comunale Courtyard on the Summa Health Akron Campus for an hour filled with melodic tunes that will warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.

On National Grief Awareness Day, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our clinically trained Chaplains who specialize in grief recovery. By providing emotional support and validation, our chaplains help patients and family members navigate their pain and begin to heal.

In addition, Summa Health’s Grief Recovery Method training program educates staff on how grief impacts job satisfaction, patient outcomes and employee morale – and provides tools for healthcare professionals on how to process grief-related emotions.
