So the Artimis lost contact with earth for a little while orbiting the back side of the moon, with no satellites or direct view to our Earth satellites made them loose communication with earth, this happened on the most serious parts of the mission on loop, coming back their jet propellers and speed times have to be very strategically planned, to make that trajectory back to Earth, a missed target wrong calculation could push them off course into space... with no communication to earth. So just think about that for a second. and now watch the video and you can understand why the Artimis II crew are so glad to hear communications after that brief gap in communication, which also let them know that they were on the right trajectory returning to Earth.

Volunteering has always been deeply important to me, and I am truly honored to have been nominated and elected to serve as Senior Warden at St. Philip Episcopal Church of Columbus OH.
This role extends far beyond administrative oversight — it is spiritual, strategic, and relational. As Senior Warden, I serve as the chief lay leader of the parish, partnering closely with clergy and the vestry to ensure our church remains spiritually grounded, financially healthy, and positioned for sustainable growth. The leadership, governance, and conflict-resolution skills I’ve developed as a business professional, and Project Management Professional directly support my ability to guide complex discussions, manage risk, identify opportunities, and uphold strong operational stewardship.
In this role I also look forward to working collaboratively with diocesan leadership within the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, helping ensure alignment with broader mission priorities while representing the needs and voice of our congregation.
St. Philip is one of only three historically Black Episcopal congregations in Ohio and has been a cornerstone of the Black Episcopal tradition in Columbus and Central Ohio for more than 130 years. Organized in 1891 as a mission of Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Philip became a diocesan mission in 1903 and was formally recognized as a parish in 1923. Its legacy of faith, resilience, and community impact makes this leadership responsibility especially meaningful.
It is a privilege to serve alongside the vestry and the Rev. Christopher Richardson as we continue building on that legacy and positioning the parish for its next chapter of growth and service.
