Playing tunes for the love of the game.

I close my eyes while I sing. I'm not sure why. I'll be real.. I get lost in the best way when I'm playing a tune. It helps me center myself.

This coming Friday, May 8 - I'm playing the songs that mean the most to me at Gerbers Bar in Utica with someone I've looked up to for years, Brent Stone!

No cover charge at the door. Show starts at 9. I hope to see you there - but odds are my eyes will be closed. ☺️

"Bones" is the bitterness you feel as a relationship meets its end. Some of the bitterness is justified. Some of the bitterness is someone (in this case, me) being selfish.

But years later, this song represents more than just a relationship with a partner or a friend or family member. It represents me drifting away from who I used to be.

"There comes a time in life when someone's not theirself for so long it's just the person they've become."

I've felt that about myself over the years with my health issues. It's amazing how a song could be written about one thing, but get a whole new meaning over the years.
