TRUST - it's a humbling thing when you really stop and consider it. (the image is from a book - if you know, you know).
Two years ago we were asked to perform a network remodel of a government town hall and council chambers brought to us by one of our fellow MSP companies, VC3. It was a solo project - no other contractors or subs involved. We did the work. The customer is still happy two years later.
Fast forward to this week in 2025:
The customer is halfway through a massive remodel. As usual, network stuff gets forgotten until the last minute. No problem! We'll find time to make it work. We survey the building, examine the new work going on, and start to see that this is much bigger than the original request of "Hey, can you move the rack temporarily and then put it back?"
I talked to the MSP. "How do you want us to handle this?"
They told us that it's more our wheelhouse than their and they trust us to handle it for both our companies. Well, that's a lot of trust right there. Sure, we've earned it over the years with them, but passing the ball over to a subcontractor to manage your client's infrastructure, trusting them not to poach your customer, and trusting them with YOUR brand image - that's huge. We consider it an honor and we work extra diligently to be sure our planning, coordination, and end-product reflect well on BOTH of our companies.
The end-user customer (a town government) gave me the same answer almost word for word. "Tommy, we trust your team. You've done right by us and we've never had an issue. You tell whomever you need to whatever you need to and you've got the authority to change anything you need to do it the way you see fit. If anyone gives you any trouble, let me know and I'll handle it."
Do you have ANY IDEA how amazing it feels to have that kind of trust? No bidding the job. No asking for permission or worrying about stepping on toes. Just being told to do the job to OUR standards, own the project, and the GC, EC, AV, architects and others will do whatever we need them to do, OUR way. We literally walked in at the 11th hour and the customer says "Thank God. Just do it the way you always do it."
That is an incredible feeling!
They trust you to do it right. They trust you to make it affordable. They trust you not to cheat them. And they trust that your end-product will be flawless.
It's amazing - and I can't thank my team and my customer's enough! That's the biggest award I could ever ask for.
And don't worry Team Twisted - you guys at Vertical Cable, Cable and Connections, Fieldwire by Hilti DEWALT are coming along for the ride. Thanks for continuing to help us deliver amazing results that customers can afford!

One of our team has been playing with ideas for some graphics, stickers, logos for apparel, etc. I just thought I'd put some of them out here and get some feedback. What do you think is cool? What's your favorite? Or maybe you''ve got an inspiring idea and want to share it! Feel free.
