A big thanks to Atlanta Outdoor Club trip leader Lisbelle Crespo for her dedication to our organization. She helps make the club great! She says, "I decided to join the club in 2018 because I love the outdoors and I enjoy it even more when I share it with others that love it as much as I do. This club has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people. Some of the events I lead including biking, kayaking and hiking at a very slow pace. My favorite activity (since joining the club) was a twilight kayaking event at the Chestatee River in Dahlonega. Without this club I would have never been able to do it. If you love the outdoors and want to meet wonderful people that enjoy it as much as you do, then this is the club for you." Learn more about our club at AtlantaOutdoorClub.com

The Atlanta Outdoor Club's 14-mile "lollipop" hike took our group from Byron Reece Trailhead to the summit of Blood Mountain -- the highest point on Georgia's section of the Appalachian Trail -- and down Slaughter Creek to beautiful Lake Winfield Scott. Congratulations to Yvonne for completing her first D5 level hike -- a challenging 14 miles with 3,300 feet of elevation gain. What an accomplishment!
Thanks to Deema and Linda for leading this adventure. Learn more about our club at AtlantaOutdoorClub.com

Nine Atlanta Outdoor Club hikers recently enjoyed a beautiful 9.97-mile trek along the Bartram Trail from Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle K**b, where the blooming rhododendrons put on a spectacular show. Along the way, the group (led by trip leader Clay Davies) stopped at two scenic waterfalls -- and also took in some stunning mountain views as they made their way along the trail. What a great day!
