Good editorial design doesn’t always start from scratch.
Sometimes, it starts by drawing inspiration from visual languages that already exist in the world of design.
The important thing is building the right visual identity for the story.
In this project, we used stencil textures, contrast, composition, and striking imagery to create tension around an article on authoritarian legalism and Brazilian democracy.
The goal is to find the point where layout, narrative, and visual storytelling work together.
