Everyone!!!!! Still in need of Timers and helpers. If you cannot be a Timer, that is okay; you can still be a helper. Looking for Timers and helpers to Electronically Time 5ks, 10ks and maybe some cross countries. The pay is good and I pay mileage. All of your expenses for the day can be written off. Please contact me, as kids grow up and the parents have to deal with college and seniors and all kinds of things. I need at least 7 timers. We had 8 at one time. RUNNERS, a lot of you know what goes on at an event and this may be something suited to you. It is not hard, just a bunch to set up and even that is not hard. It is not rocket science to time an event either. We are located in Van Alsytne right now. However, you do have to be prepared for anything. Overriding a time, entering a time that may not have read, entering people on race day, making sure all you equipment is tested and running before the event. There are 2 softwares to learn and the decoders that read the disposable chips/bibs. There is a lot to it, but I also do a lot for you. That doesn't mean you don't need to know how to do it. You must know what i know and that will come with time. If you are not close to this area, this would not suit you as you have to pickup equipment. This is not full-time and is only on maybe a Friday night but definitely Saturday mornings and on occasion on a Sunday, but that is a rarity! Must be able to lift 40 lbs. sandbags and 35 lb. decoder boxes. This equipment is fragile and expensive and needs to be taken care of like it is your child or pet. Anyway, it is all about the runners and having fun. You will come with me at least 5 times and need to do a bit of training for familiarity at my house in VA.
