Labette County Football and Boys Basketball programs are hosting their first annual golf tournament, Saturday, July 18, at the Oswego Golf Course. Tee time - 8:30 AM. ⛳️🐻

The 2025 season has officially come to a close and it was filled with many memories and achievements. Thankfully before the year ended we were able to take these photos of the 2025 team with the trophies we earned in a historic record breaking season!

Great write up on Jamaal Jackson, thank you Kansas Pregame

Spring featured athlete Jamaal Jackson of Labette County added another state championship to his résumé this season, winning the Class 4A 400-meter dash in 49.13 at the KSHSAA State Track and Field Championships.

Jackson entered the spring as the defending 4A champion in the 100 meters after matching the state meet record with a 10.65 last season. Despite missing most of his senior football season with a devastating knee injury that required surgery, he diligently followed the rehab recommendations of his doctor and returned to become one of Kansas' top sprinters once again, finishing fourth in the 100 meters at state in 10.88 while capturing the 400-meter title.

A four-time state qualifier during his high school career, Jackson helped lead the Grizzlies in multiple events and closed his senior season with another trip to the top of the podium.

Keegan Stritzke of Labette County wins the 4A Boys Shot Put Championship with a throw of 55-3.

Huge congratulations to two of our Grizzly golfers who punched their tickets to the state tournament after competing at regionals today! We are incredibly proud of your hard work and grit on the course.

Jamaal Jackson continues his impressive recovery from a serious knee injury suffered at the beginning of football season with a standout performance at the SEK Meet in Pittsburg.

• 100 meters: 10.96, first place
• 400 meters: 49.6, first place and the No. 2 time in Kansas this season
• 200 meters: 22.6, second place
• 4x400 relay: 48.9 split
