🎒✏️🍎 We know summer just started but we are already hard at work planning for our end of summer fun!

Throughout June, we begin preparing for these special celebrations happening in each of our county areas. Every child in the home will receive a backpack packed with school supplies, while families enjoy games, activities, food, and meaningful fellowship with fellow foster and adoptive families.

Visit our party webpage to explore school supply wish lists and volunteer signups for your area and join us in making these celebrations unforgettable!

🚨🚨🚨 The case worker has reached out to us again for help finding a family for this 15 year old male, who we first brought before you in May. Please share the need!

-------

Maybe as you’ve read the stories of our kids, you’ve started to feel a pull to consider what it would be like to say yes to take the next step to get yourself on the list so we can call you the next time there’s a child who needs you.

Maybe, as you’ve honestly started to consider it, you’ve hit a few barriers about the logistics of what it would take to make it work.

Let me take a second here to share some of the supports foster parents get, just in case you didn’t know:

👉Our kids attend public school and all fees are waived. School breakfasts and lunches are free and so is after school care if foster parents work.
👉A lot of summer camps are also covered free of charge for school age youth in care.
👉Our littlest ones have daycare paid through the age of 3 years if foster parents work.
👉Each child has Youthcare which covers all health, vision, and dental needs. This coverage can continue through adoption, if applicable, until the youth is 18.
👉WIC covers monthly formula needs for our babies and additional food needs for our kids through age 4.
👉Most foster parents are given an initial clothing voucher or infant care grant to cover some of the initial needs the youth might have.
👉Foster parents are also given a monthly stipend amount per child to cover needs.
👉This monthly stipend continues through adoption, if applicable, until the youth is 18.
👉A variety of community organizations and businesses offer discounts or free supports for foster families; things like clothing closets, free admittance to the St. Louis Magic House, etc.
👉Every youth in care who is adopted or ages out of the foster care system, receives free in-state college tuition.
👉Plus, if you’re a Restore Network family, you’ll have the added benefit of our initial supports and ongoing prayer, advocacy, events, training opportunities, and community.

This is a lot of support. But even without it, we know that God alone is enough. If He is calling you to this, He will provide.

Right now, a 15 year old male in our community needs a family to welcome him in and as you have seen there are also many others. May those of us who are feeling a nudge, trust Him, and take the next step.

đź’› A Real Kid. Right Now. Who Needs Us: Please pray. Please share this need. Please consider your role.
