New Smyrna bound, looking forward to get back in the truck after a not so great practice in the pro late model last weekend.

The truck races were a lot of fun; the truck was running perfectly both days we were racing! On day one, we qualified 5th and got inverted to 2nd, but because of some driver error mistakes on restarts and a few corners, we ended up finishing 4th out of 15 trucks. On the second day, the truck was running even faster than the day before, and we qualified 2nd, which was the best I have ever qualified, inverted to 3rd. We ran hard and fast for the 60-lap truck feature and ran second, gaining on George Little every lap. But I made an error, over drove the corner, and got loose off and slid into the wall hard. After that, we had our right rear tire getting cut by the fender, and a few laps later, the tire went down, and we spun. We pitted, got the tire changed, and went back out at the back of the pack. We ran hard on the restart as the clutch started slipping, but the truck still went when I gave it gas. I passed most of the slow trucks in the back, but then I got to the 11s rear tire, and he came down on me and started to slide, so I backed off so he didn’t go around, but he wanted to drive straight into me in turn one, so I saved it, gathered the truck up, and caught back up to another caution. I chose the outside and gained a few positions on the restart, and we got up to 4th starting 3rd and finishing 5th out of 16 trucks because we started sliding on the last lap due to the new tire getting cut on five to go. Overall, I had a fun week!
Thank you George N Melissa Gorham Jr. for helping me all week; it would not be the same without our guys!
