REMINDER! The Anderson High School Cross Country Team has partnered with Culver's in Anderson to host a Dine to Donate event this evening, Wednesday, July 8th, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A portion of the sales during that time will be donated to the team!

Elysse James is a 2008 graduate of Anderson High School (AHS). After graduating from AHS she attended Anderson University where she graduated in 2012. She’s also earned a Master’s of Education in English Language learning. Since that time she has been working and teaching in Anderson. She’s been helping adults complete their high school diplomas at the Excel Center where she’s been the director for the past 4 years. She’s proud to have stayed in the Anderson community and helped to support individuals from a variety of different backgrounds - including multilingual language learners in achieving English proficiency. She credits her time at ACS for building a passion for her community and understanding the value of diversity. She credits Mr. Alan Landes, who was her Spanish teacher at AHS, for challenging her and sharing his love for Spanish with his students. This ultimately led her to choosing Spanish education as her undergraduate major. She also credits Dr. Alan Alder who she had in Show Choir for 4 years for instilling a strong work ethic and sense of teamwork. of our graduates

It may be summer but the Anderson High School Student Council is hard at work! The last two days they have participated in a variety of team-building and planning activities in preparation for the 2026-27 school year.

Please help support 8th grade students at Highland Middle School going to Washington, DC by eating at Panda Express in Anderson this Friday, June 26th between 10:00 am - 11:00 pm!
