Our first artist featured for the NINTH DAY OF GIVING is Elizabeth Pogor! Her beautiful painting “Karen’s Path” can be seen at and bid upon at www.galabid.com/12daysofgiving (link in bio)

Elizabeth Pogor, a Massachusetts native, began her career as an artist after graduating from Massachusetts College of Art in the 1980’s as a sculpture major. She studied briefly at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly. She became interested in working with oils much later, when she enrolled at an evening oil painting class. By the time she had completed that class she knew that painting in oils was what she loved. Her first pieces were more traditional, some figurative, some still life, then she moved onto more abstract work.

Backtracking a bit...our artist for the EIGHTH DAY OF GIVING is Elizabeth Nadeau! She combines her skills of painting and hand-building pottery to form her beautiful creations!

Bid for this piece and more at www.galabid.com/12daysofgiving (link in bio)

“My name is Elizabeth Nadeau and from a very young age I have loved any and all artistic expression focusing mainly on drawing and painting. But as school ended and career, and then children, took over I got further and further away from my art. That changed 10 years ago when a friend suggested that we take a pottery class at Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA. To say that I wasn’t very good is an understatement but I absolutely loved it! It was wonderful to express myself creatively again as well as tackle a new challenge. As time went on I realized that I could combine my love of painting with my new love of pottery. I now create handbuilt plates, platters and trays that I use as a canvas for my nature inspired artwork.”
