No matter what your holidays look like this year, this time is a chance to reflect on where you are, who you are, and who you're with.
In NYC and nationwide, Chris Patino has had a hell of a journey already, despite his young years. He's conquered the world of bar activities (both tending, and operating/owning Raised by Wolves). He's a partner at SimpleServe, he's a father, and he's currently battling cancer. Talk about a priceless perspective on life!
I'm lucky to call Chris a friend. We'll chat tomorrow at 4pm Eastern over a few cocktails.

These guys are just awesome.
If you’re in the industry, and you’ve had 1. a smartphone and 2. a sense of humor for 3. over a year, you’ve probably encountered the social media tornado that is Chris Patino or Erick Castro.

These two guys ( + / ) join me this Thursday to answer the infamous 10 questions, teach us 2 new cocktails, and get roasted with old photos my assistant digs up on Facebook….oh, and say “F**K CANCER” in unison.

It’s a party you won’t wanna miss.

I'm lucky to be joined by an old friend from Australia, Emma Isaacs, for a chat on the art of staying sane in entrepreneurship, and how to "wing it" like a pro.

She just came out with a book and has helped thousands of women worldwide establish their business and network, with great success.

Usually by the Tuesday after Tales, my life starts getting back to "normal". Tales is not only a place to learn and collaborate, it is where I get to connect with some of my closest friends from around the world.
This week -- while we can’t be fresh off a trip to the Big Easy and dusty from Rose at Bacchanal -- we can still have great company and cocktails. Ms. Franky is one of my favorite people in the industry. She is classy, funny, talented and smart. It takes a lot to stand out in one of the biggest industries in the world, but boy does she!
Thursday she will teach me/us 2 cocktails while I ask her 10 questions.
Join us to learn what working in NYC at the dawn of the craft-cocktail movement (at places like Clover Club & Dead Rabbit) felt like -- and learn about the fascinating spirit of Cognac from an equally fascinating woman, Ms. Franky Marshall.
