Most people drive past this place without ever knowing it's there......

Today I'm heading to China Dam Homestead above Lake.

It's one of those spots that has a story hiding in plain sight, and I am super curious to see what still left after all these years.

The route isn't difficult, but it's the kind of trail that makes you wonder who built this place, why they chose this location, and what life was really like out here long before Arizona looked the way it does today.

The area around Lake Pleasant has been shaped by water projects for more than a century, but tucked away in the hills are reminders of the people who were here before the lake became what we know today.

I've got the Onyx route mapped out, and if everything goes as planned, I'll be going live from the Homestead this afternoon
