Appleton East Rebels

Good morning Rebel Families!! We are officially on Summer break! Mini Camp is right around the corner. We start on Tuesday at 1045. This will be following the Middle School workouts so the kids are able to do both. As a reminder, kids will need cleats and tennis shoes. With the weather starting to get warmer they will also need a water bottle. We will have limited sizes of donated cleats at the mini camps if anyone is interested. Also, they do not need to have physicals done before the mini camp They will need to be completed before football practice starts in August.
The dates for camp are:
June 9, 16, 23, 30
July 7, 14
Equipment Handout will be July 16th and a make up date will be July 23.

We are still in need of Volunteer Coaches and some other positions! If you are interested in helping out this season please contact John Dinse.

We would like to give a big REBELS THANK YOU to Kris Kirkland! He has given so much in the past year as both the Rebels Coaching Director and Head Coach for the upcoming 7th graders. He has worked tirelessly behind the scenes with the coaching staff, sending countless emails, coordinating many things that are vital to the program, and so much more! This is a person who cares greatly about this program and wants to see it succeed! Kris, unfortunately, is going to have to step away this year. The coaches and the kids are going to miss you Kris! THANK YOU again for everything you have given to make this upcoming season a successful one!!

We had a very successful Parent/Player meeting on Wednesday! Thank you all that were able to take some time and attend! We did have the Appleton East Football Head Coach Jarrius James come and speak with the group! The incoming 8th graders also found out their new Head Coach will be Adrian Hansen. He is currently the Physical Education Teacher at James Maddison Middle School. Officer Dalton Lehrer will be an additional coach, he is the current School Resource Officer. We are very excited to have them as part of the coaching staff for the 8th grade!

Additionally, please take not that the Rebel's Mini Camp times have changed. To help ease driving of students back and forth, we were able to change the time to 10:45-12:15. This helps align with the summer work out program that runs from 9:30-10:30. This has been reflected in the sports engine app. If you have not downloaded the app, please do so. Our team managers use that as a tool to help communicate with parents and kids.

Kate Swanson is still collecting used cleats and any gently used Rebel gear that your kids have outgrown. There is a big blue bin sitting by the front door, feel free to drop off at your convenience (2207 S Matthias St).
