Meet Walter. He is about 14 weeks old and the typical adventurous kitten. He loves high places, so be prepared for some counter surfing 🏄 He is also affectionate and his sibling Annie is also available for adoption.

Most cats will adjust to any household with proper acclimation and introductions.

Apply to adopt Walter at athenshumane.org/adopt and set up a meet and greet once you are approved. Kittens are fully vetted and the adoption fee is $150 toward the care they have received.

Fern, who has been fostered at Friendly Paws, has been adopted! She is a hoot and so active and fun. We can’t wait to get updates and hear all about her great new life.

1. Fill out our adoption application at athenshumane.org/adopt
2. An ACHS volunteer will call to discuss - probably Danny (Thx Danny! 👏) Please be patient as most tasks for our organization are handled by volunteers.
3. Set up a meet and greet OR
4. Attend our next adoption event at Friendly Paws on Sunday, August 2nd: 1-3PM

Events are held the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.

If you don’t know what cat you are interested in please describe qualities you are looking for in the “Name” category.

*If you have been approved for adoption be sure to bring a carrier with you to the event or plan to purchase one that day.

Adoption fees:
Kittens, $150
Adults, $100
ACHS spends on average $350 to have your cat fully vetted prior to adoption, so additional donations are always welcome if you are able.

Burton is about 14 weeks old. He is adventurous and great with people and cats who can handle his style of play. Burton is rough and tumble! He is pictured after a particularly hard play session. Burton is dog friendly!

Are you looking to add a Tasmanian Devil to your household? Well Brian fits the bill. This little guy is an absolute hoot and will play with anyone or anything. He leaps high in the air for feather toys and will knock over any kitten in his way. Huge personality! He is going to make someone very happy.

Mr. Universe! This handsome guy has so much charm and good looks to spare. Sammie came in from the streets and straight into our hearts. He has one stumbling block, he is Feline Leukemia positive. He would love to be an only cat to occupy your home and heart but could also live with another FeLV positive cat.
