LIFTED

“For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16

One evening my son came to me feeling frustrated because his electronic device was not working. I then called on his younger brother and said, “Go take a look at your brother’s device. You have my technological mind, and you should be able to figure out what’s wrong with it.” And he did. As soon as I spoke these words, I heard the Lord say, “Exactly. You will be able to do what I have instructed you to do because you have My mind.”

My sister, when God gives you a command, whether spoken or written, you are not limited by your own finite mind and human ability to carry it out. As a born again believer, you have received the mind of Christ. You have received a new nature that empowers you to do everything God commanded you. With the mind of Christ, you can love like Him, submit to the Father’s will like Him, respond like Him, wait patiently like Him, and endure and persevere like Him.

Prayer: Yessss, Lord, thank you for giving me insight and clarity into what it means to have the mind of Christ. I pray you will deepen my understanding of your truth. Help me to love like you, to respond like you, to submit to your will and endure like you. Teach me how to operate with the mind of Christ that I have received. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Father,
I thank You for waking me with the breath of life, and open eyes to witness the dawning of another new day that You have created. Help me to face, embrace and rejoice in all that it holds! O Father, You have been performing many wonders and miracles for me in this precious gift of life that I am so blessed to have, and I know that Your plans for me are too numerous and too great. So, I thank You for keeping me with a humble heart and a calm and joyful spirit while I wait on Your goodness and highest plans for me. On this day Father, as I run this race of life that You have set before me, I ask and pray that You continue giving me strength, patience and endurance, and please cast away all darkness that I may come upon. Show me Your Will and keep me with clarity and peace with all that I have yet to face. Help me to maintain full trust in You, to stay focused on You, and to not depend on my own understanding about the uncertainties of life. Let Your Spirit bring me certainty, Father, the certainty that You will never leave me, You will always lead and guide me, and that I belong to You. For it is only You Who sees and hears everything that I say and do; You know everything about me; and You know all that is best for me in this precious life! So, I thank You, Father, for keeping me strong in You and the power of Your might and faithfulness. Thank You, for knowing that I can rest calmly in Your grace that abounds me always. Praying that You do the same for my dear family, friends and all others in need of prayer. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Ame
