What if the most meaningful gift I could give this year wasn’t to myself at all?

My birthday has passed, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want this next year of my life to stand for.

I keep coming back to the same answer:
giving back.

Not in a performative way.
Not just in words.
But in a way that actually serves people.

That’s what this next Deprescribing Accelerator cohort means to me.

Over the years, one of the most rewarding parts of this work has been hearing from students who’ve gone through the training and shared how much it impacted them.
How it strengthened their confidence.
How it helped them think differently.
How it changed the way they approach the patients and families depending on them.

That kind of feedback stays with me.

Because when someone tells me they’re walking away better equipped to make a difference, that means this work is doing what it was meant to do.

So this cohort feels personal.

It feels like a chance to take another year of life, another year of lessons, another year of growth…
and turn it into something that can help someone else.

A chance to keep teaching.
To keep pouring in.
To keep building a community that wants to serve older adults with more intention, more wisdom, and more care.

And with our Masterclass coming up, this felt like the right time to open that door a little wider.
