Hi, My name is Alexis Smith I am a Young Black Female Photographer.

Every woman in these frames carries a story.
Strength. Softness. Healing. Becoming.

And behind every one of them is a history that made this moment possible.

Today we celebrate the beauty, the resilience, and the legacy of women everywhere.

Happy International Women’s Day. ✨

The Little Moments ✨

Somewhere above the clouds, the sunset reminded me that beautiful things still happen quietly.

Black beauty is timeless.

Strength in her gaze. Grace in her glow. Soft, strong, unapologetically radiant.

This isn’t a trend. It’s tradition. It’s resilience. It’s art. History in motion.

Behind the scenes ✨
Not every shoot happens on a “perfect” day.
But growth doesn’t wait for perfect.

Beauty is pushing through when you’re tired.
Confidence is showing up when you’re unsure.
Excellence is choosing to rise anyway.

Black history reminds me that resilience is in our DNA. We don’t crumble under pressure, we create under it.

Watch the results.

Black History Month.🤎

Who taught you to question the way God designed you?
Who taught you to shrink your voice, doubt your beauty, second guess your calling?
Who taught you to disconnect from your roots, your rhythm, your faith?

Because last time I checked, we were created on purpose. Our skin carries history. Our hair carries heritage. Our features carry legacy. And our spirit carries God.

Before you ask a man like Muhammad Ali if he hated anyone, ask yourself who shaped the lens you see yourself through. Who taught you what to love and what to reject? Who taught you to stop trusting the very God who formed you?

This month is more than reflection. It is reclamation.
Reclaiming our identity.
Reclaiming our confidence.
Reclaiming our faith.

You were never an accident. You are history. You are legacy. You are God’s intentional design.

Let that sit with you.

Black History Month.

Beauty was never the problem.
The narrative was.

Who taught us that our features needed fixing? That our melanin needed muting? That our confidence should come with conditions?

This is beauty.
Bold. Anointed. Unapologetic.

Skin kissed by light.
Faith stitched into style.
Legacy written all over her face.

We do not tone down what God designed with intention.
We wear it. We walk in it. We honor it.

Black is beautiful. Always has been. Always will be.
