"I regularly use Facebook to post updates on my ministry, leading and teaching with PreVision Partnership. I enjoy responding to comments too. However, I will not do so until the end of April, except for occasional posts or updates.

At the beginning of 2024, the Lord led me to pen "A Personal Manifesto for 2024 on Strategic Engagement with the Lord Almighty." To be and do all that God has called me to, I am embarking on a strategic engagement and a strategic withdrawal

As a Christ-follower, with primary responsibilities as a husband, friend, and ministry leader, I have been alarmed at the increasing darkness of society and culture in the West in the last few years.

I believe the times are darker because of three primary influences that the Bible makes very clear: the devil, the world, and the flesh. I am increasingly convinced that the antidote to these influences is the greater influence of the Triune God.

In darker times I need greater light.

To be empowered to do all that He has called me to be and do, I am embarking on a strategic engagement with the Triune God that involves a strategic withdrawal from the world.

This strategic engagement is to study, understand, pray, worship, and surrender to the influence, person, role, and ministry of the Father (who protects us from the Devil), the Son (who shows us how to engage with a dark world), and the Holy Spirit (who empowers us against the flesh).

Through strategic withdrawal, I will reduce all unnecessary distractions from my primary responsibilities. I will also withdraw from all social media (after this post and replies) and engage at a less urgent pace with emails, texts, and calls, in order to be able to move at the pace of the Kingdom of God.

This change in focus and pace will extend until the end of April. I will be more (not less) available for my primary responsibilities. So if you want to share or pray with me about this strategic engagement, then text, call, or email me (even if I take a few days to respond).

I would be honored and humbled if you would pray for me that I would be a brighter light for darker times...and I will pray for you to be the same."
