Darkness had fallen upon the land swiftly and without
warning. It took the form of a beast far too grotesque
to describe with mortal eyes. It was said that this
darkness was formed by the hatred and negativity in the
hearts of the people across the entire planet, all bundled
into one monstrous being.

For years this monster terrorized Kingdoms, parading
through and infecting men and animals alike with its
powerful dark force. The land was on the brink of complete
destruction at the might of this beast. But just as
Darkness had been created by the evil in the hearts of
man, a mysterious and magical blacksmith fashioned a set
of seven blades from the energy of the purest hearts in
the world.

They could only be wielded by those who proved themselves
with pure conviction. A band of warriors was found who
could wield the blades, and together they defeated the
beast. Because of the pure hearts they had, none thought
to kill the beast, and instead sealed him away in what
they thought was an impenetrable prison of light.

Now centuries have passed since that day, and
the beast's story was beginning to fade into obscurity.
The world was in a better place now, and without the
threat of the beast to worry about the people of the world
could only worry about themselves now. Cyrillus, an
up-and-coming knight lived a normal and boring life. With
so much peace upon the lands, there seemed to not
even be a need for knights. Knowing well of the stories,
Cyrillus wished he could be one of the heroes.
