Exploring new restaurants and places to dine, sharing the experiences while promoting and supporting businesses through social media

Dining Dollz would like to surprise a single Mom with a Dining Gift Card for Valentines Day. We see her on Facebook working hard and being very active in her children's lives with their education, church, and extra curricular activities. Additionally, she still finds the time to workout for her wellness. She can use this gift card to let her young son take her out to dinner and let her know how much she is admired.

Congratulations and Happy Valentines Day to Shayla Thompson!

Le Diner en Blanc is an elegant outdoor picnic held at a secret location that began in Paris in 1988. It has evolved internationally and continue to grow each year in major cities. It is an exclusive event opened to registered members, sponsored guests, and those on the waiting list. There are strict rules such as ALL WHITE attire and predominantly all white everything else. All guests bring their own set up-table, chairs, table decor, and food.
I learned of this exclusive event two years ago and finally looked up the Diner en Blanc in Atlanta website and signed up on the waiting list ( also called Phase III) this past December. I have heard that some people have been on the waiting list for two years. There are actually three phases to register; Phase I- Members, Phase II- Sponsored Guests ( a member has to sponsor the guest), and Phase III - Waiting List. There was over 4,000 registrants in attendance in Atlanta on September 21, 2019.

As a first timer, I must say first and foremost that in order to enjoy this unique experience, you must have an OPEN MIND to the fact that you bring everything you need to set up. I was excited that it was something different and out of the box. I looked forward to meeting new people and to find commonalities in our lives.

The most challenging part of the event was transporting everything even though we were advised by the organizers to pack light. However, it was fun to be in the pedestrian parade bringing in our set up. Another challenge was convincing my husband that this would be a memorable event, which in the end he said,he had a beautiful time.

One of my favorite components of the event was the secrecy and the anticipation. The actual date of the event was kept secret and then revealed at the kick-off party. By the way, I attended the kick off party in June and was upgraded from Phase III to Phase I. The actual location of the event was not revealed until a few minutes before we were escorted to the venue by our table leader and group leader.

The ambience was magical especially during signature times such as the waving of the dinner napkin (not paper- no paper or plastic were allowed) to signal it’s time to eat and the lighting of the sparklers to signify it’s time to party. I chose to bring food from Milano’s Grille that I thought would be perfect for the occasion, which was salmon, chicken, rice, veggies, baked potato, salad, bread, cheesecake, fruit, and of course cheese.

There are other intricate details that will be shared with each registrant when the time comes by the organizers.

Le Diner en Blanc is WHAT YOU MAKE IT!!!!!!! We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to attending other Diner en Blanc locations but definitely will be back in Atlanta in 2020.

The preparation does not happen overnight. It takes time to prepare to make your experience perfect. Tomorrow check out my website
