Antakya, the capital of the Hatay Province in the southeast of Turkey was one of the worst hit areas during the February 6th earthquake. It has a rich history which has been a bridge in the continuation of traditional local crafts. The Earthquake not only caused people to loose their loved ones but also their motivations to keep running their businesses, especially when their workspaces and equipment is greatly damaged or destroyed. In difficult times such as these, we, as a brand have determined to work with communities from the earthquake areas to promote their artisanal work and support them in rebuilding.

CraftAntakya is a community based organization that supports local artisans and sustains their craftwork. Working together with and the local weavers, we have added a limited edition line of high quality peshtemals. By supporting these artisans now, we know we are not only enabling earthquake victims to regain their living but also promoting the continuation of traditional crafts and skills.
