Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide with nearly 10 million deaths in just 2020. However, with early detection, chances of survival and recovery increase exponentially. (Source: World Health Organization)
In collaboration with Sant Tukdoji Cancer Hospital, Anand Meals has been hosting monthly cancer screenings in villages of Maharashtra and Amritsar in India. These cancer screenings are conducted by mobile screening buses that deploy a team of medical professionals in areas with low access to healthcare. The testing and early diagnosis of symptoms allow more treatment options and better survival chances for the patient.
