So this year I have made so much progress on my self-love and self-acceptance journey. But every once in a while, I still wake up questioning myself. I’m 31 almost, and I’m not married, with no kids. I wonder if I’ve failed somehow. But then I remember that this is the narrative society WANTS me to believe, and I remember that I HAVE done things that are WORTH IT! I’m proud that my only identity isn’t linked to being married and having kids, even though I do want those things when God feels like it’s the right time for me. I remember that I have other talents and other ways to impact the world, and just because I am a female, my worth is NOT connected to building a family ONLY. I have worked so hard for the last 2 years nurturing a business that has helped others. I’ll get emails from customers every once in a while about how my mindfulness and mental-health products have changed their lives, and it empowers me to keep going!! I’m proud of myself and I’m so glad that I was blessed with an opportunity to make my narrative more than what society wanted it to be for me!
