🏡 Once you go under contract, the countdown to keys begins — and it's exciting! You're scheduling inspections, signing paperwork, and planning your move.

But here's something many buyers don't think about: the spending decisions you make in your first months as a homeowner can set the tone for your budget for years to come.

I've pulled together the most common (and costly) mistakes I see new homeowners make — so you can avoid them and start off strong:

1️⃣ Don't Blow the Budget on Furnishings
That urge to fill every room right away? Resist it. Start with the essentials and add over time so you're not draining your savings on day one.

2️⃣ Skipping Maintenance & Repairs
