The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will kick off its 2026 season with a return to Macon, Georgia, for SIAC Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 22.
Coaches and student-athletes from the league’s 13 football programs will open the two-day event with the SIAC Community Service and Outreach Day on Tuesday, July 21. SIAC Football Media Day will follow on Wednesday, July 22, and will be open only to institutions and approved members of the media.

SIAC Returns to Macon for 2026 Football Media Day ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will kick off its 2026 season with a return to Macon, Georgia, for SIAC Football Media Day on Wednesday, July 22.

In a renewed campaign, the four NCAA commissioners for HBCU athletics — HBCU4US Association — have sent a second urgent letter to Congress, reaffirming their unified support for the SCORE Act and signaling their commitment to protecting their institutions' interests.
On May 11, 2026, CIAA Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams Parker, MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills, SIAC Commissioner Dr. Anthony Holloman, and SWAC Commissioner Dr. Charles McClelland wrote to Congressional Black Caucus Chair Yvette Clarke, calling again for bipartisan passage of the SCORE Act.

Fort Valley State outside hitter Isaiah Fedd has been named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention selection for the second consecutive season, as the organization announced its 36th edition of the National Collegiate honors Wednesday. 🏐🏆
