Green Beans had a good run, but Tomatoes won with more than 3x the votes and are moving on in the Warm Weather Produce bracket. Apparently the summer tomato fan club is alive and well.

Our summer squash is finally starting to pick up production here on the farm. We’re growing yellow squash, Cocozelle squash, and zucchini, and the plants are beginning to give us more each week. That means summer squash season is happening right now., but the butternut squash will appear on our tables this fall.

Sweet Potatoes, on the other hand, are playing the long game. They’re loving this summer heat, but they won’t be ready until fall after the weather cools down. They’re definitely worth the wait, but you’ll have to be patient.

So which one gets your vote: the summer crop that’s starting to hit the table now with more to come this fall, or the fall favorite we’ll all be waiting on for a few more months?
