Inside the shelter room were two young Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies curled together on a worn blanket, their small bodies pressed close as if they were sharing the same heartbeat.

One of them was more playful.

He bounced around the kennel, chasing toys, wagging his tail at every person who passed by. Even after everything he’d been through, his joy seemed impossible to contain.

The other was a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy.

Quieter. Gentler. He sat close to his sibling, watching the world with soft eyes, only stepping forward when his brother did first.

The shelter worker told us they had been rescued together from an abandoned property, frightened and hungry, refusing to be separated even for a moment.

Ever since that day, they stayed together.

If one moved, the other followed.

If one became nervous, the other leaned closer.

And somehow… visitors kept choosing the more energetic puppy.

Someone even said,
“The playful one seems friendlier.”

The quieter puppy lowered his head and pressed himself gently against his brother, as if he already knew what it felt like to be overlooked.

The room grew silent.

I looked at my partner, and neither of us needed to say anything.

We already knew.

So we chose both.

The shelter worker smiled with relief and said,
“They only truly relax when they’re together. Thank you for keeping them that way.”

Now they sleep side by side every night, curled into one warm bundle of paws, ears, and gentle breathing.

The playful puppy still turns every day into an adventure.

And the quieter Staffordshire Bull Terrier stays close behind him, never far away.

Every night before falling asleep, he gently rests his head against his sibling, just to make sure he's still there.

Some people notice the loudest hearts first.

But sometimes...

I’m honestly trying to understand how people place a huge order like this — cases of water, paper towels, detergent, groceries, bags, boxes, everything — and don’t tip anything. Not even a little “thank you” for the person doing all the lifting and carrying.

Drivers are not personal movers. We use our gas, our time, and our backs to get these orders delivered. If you order this much stuff and tip nothing, please don’t act shocked when it doesn’t get carried all the way like VIP service.

I dropped it where I could and kept it moving. Maybe next time tip like you actually appreciate the work.

I ordered Taco Bell on DoorDash, tipped $5, and when I opened the bag there was a note inside that said "5$? You go to hell!!" Like...what? Bro, you dropped off a chalupa and a crunch wrap supreme, not a kidney transplant.
Let's do the math. My order was about $10. I tipped half the total, 50%, for someone to drive less than 15 minutes and drop off a bag on my doorstep. That's more than fair. But apparently we've reached the point where $5 is considered offensive.
So tell me, what exactly are we tipping for now? These apps already charge a service fee, a delivery fee, tax, and an unexplained "processing fee". We're one step away from paying a "thank you" fee just for existing.
If $5 for a $10 dollar meal sends you into a rage, maybe delivery isn't the right job. I didn't realize I was supposed to cover your rent for handing me a taco.

To the person who decided to put a sticker on my vehicle because you didn't like how I was parked:

That's not really an appropriate way to handle the situation.

If you think someone parked poorly, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But touching someone else's vehicle and placing things on it crosses a line.

Thankfully the sticker came off, but adhesives can damage paint, leave residue behind, and create problems that didn't need to exist in the first place.

There are plenty of ways to address parking concerns without physically interfering with someone else's property.

I've already reviewed the available security footage and reported the incident.

Honestly, I'm just surprised that some people still think this kind of behavior is acceptable.

If you have an issue with someone's parking, there are proper channels for that.

Putting stickers on their car shouldn't be one of them.

Somebody please explain what the correct move is here because I genuinely do not know where to even start. We spent around $15,000 on this elevated deck and recently noticed the lower bracing and support posts splitting badly. Now several of the braces have completely failed and there’s broken wood scattered all over the hill underneath it. The deck itself is still standing somehow, but parts of it are sagging and the railing side looks uneven now. The original builder said “older treated lumber naturally twists and checks over time,” but this feels way beyond cosmetic wear to me. It honestly looks like the deck is balancing on stilts at this point. Would you try to reinforce and rebuild the support system, or is this one of those situations where the safest option is tearing everything out and starting over? Is this normal aging or a major structural failure?
