Thought I’d take a moment to let everyone know a little bit about myself and my writing.

I’m not really sure why, but around the 10th grade, I started taking pen to paper with all the little melodies and lyrics that would fill my head. I had a terrific literature teacher who encouraged free writing at the beginning of class. He was always supportive of the writing of my classmates and I. He would often “grade” my songs letting me know if I wasn’t clear about whatever story I was telling. Thanks to him, I never let a simple phrasing escape my brain without writing it down or recording a melody in my voice memos. I may not write a song in a day, but I may write a song in a week or a month. Sometimes the random lines, lyrics, and melodies all collide together, sometimes they don’t. No matter what pieces life gives you, with a little patience, you might get to see it all come together and make something out of nothing.
