If only staining a floor went this fast!

Our oldest daughter closed on her first house last week and the only advice David gave was, “that tile in the kitchen has got to go!” Of couse, she had NO objections to that since he offered! 🤣
This 1950’s house in Smyrna has hardwoods throughout except in the kitchen. It looks like they remodeled the kitchen at some point and installed tile on top of wood which makes the floor a different level than the rest of the house.
Dave is tearing out both layers of floor - tile and hardwood - and is replacing it with new solid oak. Then he will sand and finish the whole house.
