Hi everyone, I’m Meagan Gossett! So thrilled to join the Midway Elementary and Forsyth County family. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me, my husband, and our son traveling or relaxing by the nearest beach, lake, or pool. I can't wait to meet the students and families that make Midway Elementary such a special place!

Hello Mustang family! I am genuinely delighted to join the Midway family. Over the past nineteen years, I’ve embraced a variety of roles in education, teaching and supporting students across different grade levels and specialties, including gifted education at Settles Bridge Elementary in Forsyth County. What drives me is creating a classroom that feels like a launchpad for curiosity, creativity, and growth. Becoming part of the Midway community feels like gaining a new family, and I can’t wait to connect, collaborate, and celebrate with our students, staff, and families.
Home for me is Forsyth County, where I share life’s adventures with my husband, our loyal dog, and two wonderful kids pursuing their dreams at UGA and Georgia Southern. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me lost in a book, tending my garden, cheering at a game, exploring new places, or soaking up precious time with my family. This summer, I’ll be glued to every moment of the Men’s World Cup. I love The Beautiful Game!

Hi - my name is Deana Brown. I am so excited to join the Midway Elementary family! I have worked as a professional school counselor in Forsyth County Schools since 2007. Prior to transitioning to public education, I worked in behavioral healthcare clinical settings including outpatient settings and crisis stabilization units. Additionally, I have served as both an administrator and faculty member in higher education training future clinical counselors. My husband and I are the very proud parents of two amazing daughters, both of which are products of this great school system. I am incredibly honored to join the Midway family and look forward to working with each of you as we support kiddos in growing and developing into successful happy individuals.

Hi! I am beyond excited about working at Midway for the 2026-27 school year. Both of my daughters attended Midway kindergarten through 5th grade and we absolutely adore the Midway community. This past school year, I was an instructional assistant in the K-2 Reach program at Kelly Mill and prior to joining Forsyth County, I taught preschool for several years. I am so happy I am coming home to Midway to join the incredible staff who made elementary school such a positive experience for my girls.

Hi Mustangs. I’m a proud wife and mother to three adult sons, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, along with a stepson who remains an important part of our close-knit family. Life at home is always lively with two dogs and a cat adding to the mix. Outside of work, I’m an active member of a book club and a passionate reader who enjoys getting lost in a good story. I also have a close-knit group of friends who love to host creative theme parties, which adds a fun and social balance to my life. I strive to lead with kindness and be inclusive in all that I do, and I value strong relationships, lifelong learning, and bringing a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective to both my personal and professional life.
