Dear Family and Friends,

As I get ready to begin my third year of teaching at a Title I school, I’m excited (and a little nervous) to share that I’ll be stepping into a new role. This year, I’ll be teaching a SUMMIT inclusion class, which serves students with significant emotional, behavioral, and instructional needs.

This new position is pushing me to rethink how I structure my classroom—creating a space that is not only functional, but also calming, restorative, and supportive for every student who walks through the door.

Throughout this journey, many of you have generously helped me stock my classroom with the tools and resources my students need to succeed—especially since Title I funding often only covers the basics. I’m reaching out again this year for your support.
